Project Description:
Water from rainfalls and from the neighbors’ sprinkler systems saturated the client’s backyard, making it soggy and muddy. The children and the dogs were not able to play in it. The home is at a lower elevation than the adjacent property, causing groundwater as well as water from the neighbors’ sprinklers to flow into the yard and not drain properly.
Advantage Drainage installed a French drain around the perimeter of the backyard fence in order to intercept the groundwater. We then installed surface and French drain systems around the swing set to keep that area dry as well. Water collected by the drainage system was discharged into an existing drainage culvert.
